From September 29 to October 1, 2025, the 66th Tribology Conference of the German Society for Tribology (GfT) took place for the first time in Wernigerode – with a strong presence of the IMKT. In total, eleven members of the institute participated and contributed eight scientific presentations to a diverse program.
Dr.-Ing. Florian Pape presented the latest project results in the special session of the DFG Priority Program SPP 2074 “Fluid-Free Lubrication Systems under High Mechanical Load.” Six additional contributions (Mousa Amro, Gernot Bayer, Armand Fome, Minjae Kim, Muyuan Liu, Yuting Liu, and Florian Pape) were featured in the special session on the Sino-German Mobility Program with Qingdao University of Technology, organized by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gerhard Poll. The IMKT program was complemented by a presentation from Ricardo Martins on self-regenerating molybdenum oxide coatings in the regular conference track. Ms. Bock also supported the conference office with organizational tasks.
The strong participation highlights the wide range of tribological research at IMKT – from coatings and self-regenerating solid lubricants to grease- and water-based lubrication, as well as international collaborations focusing on sustainable solutions for future machine systems.
Our sincere thanks go to the GfT for the excellent organization and for providing an inspiring environment for exchange and new ideas!
