Prof. Dr.-Ing. Marian and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Poll represented IMKT at the European Conference on Tribology (Ecotrib 2025), which took place from July 27-30 at the prestigious ETH Zürich, Switzerland.

The event, organized by Swiss Tribology, brought together around 230 participants from across Europe, Asia, North and South America, and beyond. The conference featured a dynamic program with up to six parallel sessions covering the latest advances in tribology—ranging from surface engineering and lubricant development to digitalization and sustainability in mechanical systems. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Marian contributed to the scientific exchange with his presentation titled “AI-Driven Rapid Prediction of Elastohydrodynamically Lubricated Contacts”. His talk addressed innovative approaches in leveraging artificial intelligence for the fast and reliable analysis of complex lubrication regimes, highlighting IMKT’s ongoing commitment to digital transformation and interdisciplinary research in tribology.

Overall, The conference offered a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange, networking, and exploring new collaborations with tribology experts from academia and industry worldwide.

We thank Swiss Tribology and the organizing committee for a memorable and impactful event at ETH Zürich and look forward to continuing our engagement in the international tribology community!
