The IMKT retreated to the Hotel FREIgeist Einbeck for its 2026 strategy workshop. The focus was on the institute’s strategic development as well as on developing concrete research and teaching concepts for the coming years.
During intensive group work sessions, key topics such as future teaching formats, research infrastructure and data strategies, as well as emerging research fields were systematically addressed. Building on trend analyses, concrete research ideas and project concepts were developed and translated into initial proposal outlines.
In addition to the technical work, the format also provided space for reflection and exchange – for example during walk & talk sessions and joint discussions. A visit to the PS.Speicher and a table football tournament rounded off the program and strengthened team cohesion.
The workshop thus marked an important milestone in further sharpening the strategic direction of the IMKT while simultaneously generating new momentum for research, teaching, and collaboration.
