From 9–13 February 2026, IMKT had the pleasure of hosting Prof. Dr. Wassim Habchi from the Lebanese American University within the framework of an Erasmus+ exchange with Leibniz Universität Hannover.
During his visit, Prof. Habchi, an internationally recognized expert in elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL), engaged in intensive scientific discussions with IMKT researchers and delivered a lecture on “Advances in Elastohydrodynamic Lubrication Modeling.”
On 10–11 February, we further organized a joint workshop on Data Practices and Artificial Intelligence for EHL contacts, with participation from the Gear Research Center (FZG) at Technical University Munich. Together, we discussed recent advances in physics-based and AI-enhanced modeling and defined a roadmap for future joint research activities.
