Two independent R3 test benches with two test positions each, enable us to test #railway wheel sets in accordance with DIN 12082. In addition, using specially developed test heads, we can conduct tests on NU1030 cylindrical roller bearings and comparable rolling element bearings with defined mechanical, thermal, and electrical stressing.
We are now using these test benches in two projects:
1. Investigation of impact marks and their influence on the fatigue life of rolling bearings,
2. Research on the electrical behavior of rolling bearings in the context of wind energy.
