IMKT warmly welcomes Prairit Sharma to the Digitalization research group.
Prairit received his Master's degree in Systems Engineering for Manufacturing from the University of Magdeburg in 2025. He completed his master's thesis at Bosch Research in Renningen, entitled "Simulative and Experimental Investigation of Mixed Friction of a Point Contact with Mixed-EHL Solvers and Mini Traction Machine," focusing on mixed-friction phenomena in point contacts using both simulation and experimental approaches.
Since joining IMKT on April 15, 2026, Prairit has been working on the FVA Project 701 VI "Thermal Friction Modelling of Rolling Bearings." His work focuses on extending the existing Lager2/LFP (Low-Friction Powertrain) software environment to improve friction calculations and enhance the prediction of thermal effects in rolling bearings.
We are pleased to welcome Prairit to IMKT and wish him every success in his research and future work.
