Welcome to IMKT: Diego Cisternas Yurin joins the Tribology Digitalization Group

Diego Cisternas Yurin recently joined IMKT's Tribology Digitalization Group, where he works on finite element modeling of rolling bearings.

IMKT warmly welcomes Diego Cisternas Yurin to the Digitalization research group.

Diego received his Master's degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica in April 2026. His master's thesis, entitled "Influence of High-Pressure Rheology on the Predictability of Lubricant Film Thickness in EHL Contacts Using Machine Learning," focused on combining tribology with data-driven modeling approaches.

At IMKT, Diego is working on the implementation of the finite element method (FEM) for rolling bearing modeling. His research contributes to the advancement of digital simulation methods for tribological systems.
